Why Adventurers

Wikipedia defines an adventure "as an exciting or unusual experience; it may also be a bold, usually risky undertaking, with an uncertain outcome. Adventures may be activities with some potential for physical danger, such as skydiving, mountain climbing or participating in extreme sports. The term also broadly refers to any enterprise potentially fraught with physical, financial or psychological risk, such as a business venture, or other major life undertakings. AFSN views "adventurers" as very special and dedicated people; "ordinary people who achieve extraordinary things" that others never ever dare to try.

KayakThe goal of AFSN is to recognize "adventurers" in all types of extreme sports and activities. We want to support and promote your efforts where we may and in turn use the adventure as part of a fund raising event. We also want to especially recognize "adventurers" that may have "special needs" of some type and are overcoming even greater odds to achieve their goals whatever they may be.

AFSN's desire is to be broad-based. We do not want to focus our fund raising on just one specific special needs disorder, we want to be a resource to help all. This also applies to all types of "adventurers" as well.

Tell us about an adventure you have been thinking about and let AFSN know about it so we may be able to help.

Send AFSN Your Idea(s):
If an "adventurer" has an idea to, for example: ride across the country, hike the Appalachian Trail or Pacific Crest Trail; paddle the entire coast of Florida, climb Mt. McKinley or any other extreme adventure, AFSN would like to help you raise money for your cause. AFSN can assist you with your planned fund raising, promotions, and organizing.

Please contact AFSN with your idea(s) or a current adventure you have already planned. We want to support you if it is now a fund raising event. Not a fund raising event! We would like you to consider making your adventure a fund raiser for Adventurers for Special Needs.
